Homosexuality is Natural

"We may have opinions on a lot of things, but one thing is clear -- homosexuality is found throughout the animal kingdom, it is not against nature," an exhibit statement said.

Geir Soeli, the project leader of the exhibition entitled "Against Nature," told Reuters: "Homosexuality has been observed for more than 1,500 animal species, and is well documented for 500 of them."

perhaps you are arguing from a poor starting point. overall, i would have to disagree with your headline. while the evidence you put forth is compelling - i have a newborn baby in my life. and this child would not exist if it were not for me (being male) and my wife (being female). true, we christian-like folk have made asses of ourselves with t-shirts and bumper stickers about adam and eve not adam and steve. allow me to apologize for us - seriously. but the dialogue has to reach out further than the animal realm that has produced any number of abnormalities (don't get pissed). just give me your argument from a fresh point of view. be well.

more random thoughts from a christian... not excluding or including anything save what is found in our Bible and through other forms of revelation.

if something is said to be normative it could usually be said to 'the only' as well. example: a normal cat has certain traits. now, cats can be born in the wild without said (normal) traits - but they cannot be the only. if they are 'the only' then we classify as something other. we then deduce that 'the only' can be normative only with exceptions. so, sexual orientation of the type we are discussing cannot be 'the only' for then our ability to be would no longer exist and perhaps never would have existed. no, what you call normal must be an exception - of a different classification - because it cannot be 'the only'. perhaps this only makes sense to me, now that i read it over. however, what think ye?
